Treasure Box Training

Since the start of degree, every semester I said I wanna find a parttime job yet new sem starts in a blink of an eye. So well, this semester, so happen I found this part time job online which has to do with kids' learning. Not qualified being called a teacher. In Treasure Box learning, teachers serve as the facilitators. We lead them to think and solve problems themselves which I like their Not-Spoon-Feed Concept.

Finally, I managed to find something not so hectic yet I can earn money at the same time. Today was a training day for me to do deluge of treasure boxes. With the small table and small chair which is not meant for me, the long hours of sitting there solving to familiarize in order to guide kids in the future made my backache. When they finally approve me as a 'teacher', I think it would be easier??? Haha..

Chose this job firstly thought I can see young cute innocent kids and dont have to work freakinggggg long hours. However turned out to be, they are asking me to work as admin too if I can. In class, Miss Rebecca was there to guide some of the kids while I was solving the boxes, she didnt talk much to the kids. She didnt even allow them to make a noise or so... I was expecting to interact and chit chat with the kids :(:(:( Children at such young age being forced to go tuitions like kumon and all is kinda sad to me. I thought this would be super different. Of course, some naughty kids need some scoldings to be obedient. I was the whole time staring at cute kids in front of me yet I cant talk to them. Whole day cant talk, only solve. Dont look down on those boxes of games, some can be quite challenging. The concept behind Treasure Box is really good though. (Y) Guiding kids to observe, think, analyze, decide and execute... Zi Hui brief-ed me a little in the beginning and I was thinking why didnt I attend such good programme when I am young. Through playing the games, I can definitely see that Im not observant and not good with spatial elements.

Although their 'teachings' may seem a little different than what's on my mind, I think this is a good way to occupy my weekends and continue saving for my travelling fund or whatsoever.
