Kuala Selangor - Sekinchan

Trying to blog as many as possible before my hectic period :D

Overall the trip wasn't too bad although most of them are aunties uncles. Many that lived for many years in the same garden yet don't know each other actually exists. I personally saw some of the uncles and aunties but don't really know them.

The convoversation of the day with my mum
Me: Who's that??
Mum: Nehhh, the uncle that always walk with a dog.
Me: That one??
Mum: He is the one that cycles everydayyyy in our area.
Me: Then Then Who's on the one sitting there?
Mum: The grandpa that always with his grandchildren
Me: Oh Oh Oh Oh I know.

I actually know when my mum described but when I see them around, I dont usually get to see them properly in person so I couldnt recognise them. This is bad but after this trip, I know some of them better. This was actually the first time they organised a trip in my neighborhood. The response was good! Bus Seats filled up in 2 hours.

Anyhow we started off our day with breakfast in Klang. We had a BAO feast!

Yet-to-steam Curry Bao

All sorts of Bao in the making

Man Tao!

I tried curry, char siew, vege, mui choy, black pepper and peanut bao! If only my stomach was bigger, I can try a few more. Ps : I didnt eat the whole Bao

Next stop we went Bukit Melawati! What't there to see? MONKEYS!

The first monkey that welcomed us.

Uncle Yong that organised the trip :)

Mum decided to take this rather than walk up. Weeee

Getting ready to go!

and of course there are moreeeeeeee

Not to worry, these monkeys werent as scary as those typical ones. They don't really snatch handbags but they snatch food from your hand.

see see! Baby Monkey in different colour!

Have a video of baby monkey playing around. so damn cuteee!

Random trees that got my attention

The sun on that day no joke! sweat like crap. We then head to Kuala Selangor to buy seafood and head to Sekinchan for our 8-course meal. Bought fishballs and yong tau fu too! Sekinchan Rice Mill was our last destination.

Soon-to-be-rice

Beautiful paddy field

Let's end with this picture <3

I was late for my first interview

Yesterday, I had an Interview in GE. Driving from my house to GE is quite a distance and I expected there will be less traffic at roughly 10am. My heart kept pounding so freaking fast when the time reached 10.45am.

No excuse, my bad.

Luckily the earlier session was nothing much so by the time I arrived which was 11am. After parking in GE mall and finding for the office tower, I met with some friendly staffs there.

Some highlights of my interview :
  • Met  a lot of people from different background and friendly GE staffs
  • Played Lego to kill time while waiting for our turn
  • Asked to draw an animal to represent myself
  • Exchanged facebook and emails
  • Got myself a GreenTea Choco Chip Starbucks
Our cute little house that we constructed in 15 mins. What's the selling point?? Buy our house Free Robot, catty, doggy, maid and a driver. We have stairs at the back of the house to reach to the rooftop! After I head home, I just realised RM150,000 was way too cheap!! I forgotten to add another zero. Nowonder Ms Mel was giving me that reactions. My head were blank again.

This is not an ordinary fish! It's a flying fish. It shows that I can be like a fish wanting to swim with no restrictions in the ocean yet unique among other ordinary fish. Friend claimed that it looked like sardine. Hurt me a little. Please tolerate with my drawing Lol.

View from GE HR 19th Floor

Drinking like a loner at the lobby while waiting for my brother till 7.30pm

I was actually quite nervous before entering the actual interview room but I slowly gained the momentum. It seems more like a casual talk rather than an interview.

and thanks to Peter that gave me lots of economics advice and ideas!!!

Conclusion : Day Well Spent!

Pink Evening

I admire purple pinkish skies! So happen to see pink sky outside my house last 2 days <3

 Pinky in the house

When Pink and Blue meet

The calm outlook of a random evening

Slowly it turned a bit purple-ish

Me : Mi! See the sky! so pretttyyyyyy.
Mum: Always see sky? So free to admire ?
Me:  - -'

It gives me a peaceful mind while admiring all these.

Our Earth is a piece of art.

Catland-Kuching

My first trip with my coursemates! Excited!!!

Day 1
flyyyyyyyy

A bowl of Sarawak Laksa once we reached. Opposite a temple.

On our way to Semenggoh

Beautiful clouds

We are like dead hot there

At Semenggoh!

walking uphill

<3

Since we did not have much time, I asked the taxi uncle that fetched us to hotel to bring us to Semenggoh. On the way, the friendly taxi uncle introduced places around. The way I talked to him as if he is really my uncle.. I asked him about the cat statues around.. and why is it cat????

He told me that Kuching actually has alot of Gu Jing ( it means old well in mandarin). The fact that 'Gu Jing' sounds like cat in Malay so slowly it transformed into Catland. The another 2 taxi went back to Threehouse and our taxi uncle offered to stop by awhile for us to snap with the cats!

see the catty's face. haha

There are total of 3 different cat statues around. This was the so call nicest and biggest.

you will see this once you Enter Threehouse B&B. Nice cozy place to stay! Friendly Bindi there to serve you and make your day

Girls were separated into 2 rooms with airconds whereas the guys were staying in dorms of 6. This trip was more like chillax around so after the orang utan trip, we went back and rest for awhile. Honwai called Eugene to bring us around for dinner. Thank you Eugene for offering a ride. He has to like drive 3 round each since there were 11 of us :OO

Late night, we gathered at the open air area to chit chat. Nice feeling, all of us were doing nothing, just gathering for the sake of gathering. I was really tired, same goes with YP but you just not suppose to sleep that early during trip!! :D That Yi Kay rosakkan my mood! I was suppose to lie down and admire the stars, then he came in and disturb the peaceful admiring session.

Day 2

The day I anticipated the most! Bako and Damai Beach <3

Eugene did not make it for the earliest bus ride so Honwai Yi Kay and Yew Hor waited for him.

jetty to Bako NP

Bako!

After an hour, we gathered together. The boat ride policy at the jetty is frustrating. They charge it by boat to earn more and not by head. So many of the foreigners were finding people so we can share the boats. Managed to talk to some sweet British girls. Why must they make things so complicated? Lol. Anyhow we managed to take the boat ride close to 10am.

We decided to sit boat directly to infamous Teluk Pandan Kecil and hike back to HQ in one and half hours. According to the locals there, if we were to hide from HQ to Teluk Pandan Kecil, we need 2 hours. The boat ride was awesome!! Tough current made it abit more exciting for us to sit on. We were screaming and shouting as if we are on roller coaster!

The girls while waiting for Ambiga, Tristan and I registering at HQ

Some of them wore slippers there and I thought they knew it is not going to be that simple. Partly my bad... They did not expect to climb...

Some of the trails are quite slippery...Gonna pay extra attention. It was not extremely tough but the heat was killing us... Jing Kai, Ambiga, KJ, YH and I were like'' Coke! 100 plus! Ice!'' hahahhahaha. That motivates to move and wanting to finish it faster.

You can see this around HQ

Our Friendly Pak Cik that showed us around telling us about crocodiles and jelly fish

The bus ride from Bako to Kuching is RM3.50 for locals and RM 7 for foreigners. Most of them were sleeping in the bus. Overly exhausted. Ambiga, honwai, eugene and I were chatting through.. and I think I laughed abit too loud and woke some of them up. Sorry YH Sorry YK! hahahhaha I know you guys wont mind :DDD

Then, we went back for a bath, Eugene and Honwai went to pick up the car we rented in airport. Thanks guys! We have like extra time to rest awhile... Eugene was like constantly finding and smsing or what to help us to search places and all.

Next stop, Damai Beach for Sunset!

Damai, Santubong

Choy Yeing and her ah 4

see the footprint

Ambiga ambigaaaa. tall as usual.

Sexy sunset captured by Mr JK

Day 3

Theme of the day: Hang out Casually around Town Area

Rojak at the nearby Nyonya kuih shop recommended by Bindi

Thumb ups for Milo Lo in hot Weather

Hanging around :p

Elaine and I reading the notes by other people who stayed in Threehouse

Love this picture a lot. A picture that speaks everything. Threehouse, Bindi, Eugene and all of us that went for this trip!

Met a lot of awesome people from Britain, Switzerland, New Zealand, Sweden and lots more..Thank you to Eugene once again and of course our lovely Bindi!

Our trip ended in a blink of an eye but memories stay within us.
