After leaving Singapore

We stopped a few places on our way back from Singapore.

Continuing which the heavy breakfast we ate, we exit to Johor. Papa said he wants to see Ah Ong which used to be in Malacca. I remember Uncle Ong the last Malacca family trip which was really long ago.  Uncle Ong came and brought us to Bak Kut Teh. We came out from Singapore like less than an hour and started eating again. The steam fish there was good. One thing that irritates me the most is seeing my mum leaving rice on the table. Super bad habit! Sighhh. Chit chatting how small three of us were and more than 10 years of not meeting, my brothers are working and I a year more to finish my degree. Flashing back is always a great thing to do with old friends.

Then we stopped by Malacca for Satay Celup Capitol.

We were the first few! With my parents, not a good idea to line up. They dont get the whole point of queueing. Reminds of our previous malacca trip. :))

makan makan makann

And of course, jalan jalan along jonker street! My sister is like a bag-clothing scanner who hops in every single shops > < Thanks to her, I had the time to look at stuffs too. Didnt manage to bring the durian lovers to eat the durian ice so papa went to buy the durian puffs.

A remembrance of the embarrassing incident LOL

It is a good thing to have state-hopping. Drivers get the break and we don't feel the longgg journey. I sleep sleep and sleep in car and off car eat eat and eat. And finally, we reached back PJ last night and rested a night before heading to Penang the next day.

Singapore-The Similar yet Different Country

The journey entering Singapore didn't go through quite well. Everyone was not quite in mood.

Nevertheless, our first meal in Singapore was a bomb!
Charcoal Fish Steamboat! It was really good, everything tasted so good even the drink. No time for pictures, we literally just attacked the food.

Then, Irene brought us to Clarke Quay!
I really love that place. Drinking area. The breeze and environment made me forgotten about whichever stuffs. If only I could spend more time, sitting down by the side doing nothing.

Glad that I wore slippers if not I won't be able to get wet.

Systematic Well-guided Clean MRT unlike Malaysia's LRT where you will sweat. Their MRT is well equipped with air conditioning.

While waiting for the first ride

Inside look

1st Stop on Day 2 : Garden by the Bay
I Hearttttt that place! So beautiful! And I just found out yesterday that it has a different look when we visit at night T T

OCBC garden rhapsody

I'm so coming back next time to see the night look of Garden By the Bay!

The nearby mall

Next Stop: Chinatown

The Fu Zhou Chicken Mee Sua in Chinatown Foodcourt was damn good! Surprisingly tasty

I recommend the top right dessert. Doesnt look that good but tasted great

Chinatown highlight was we all talking bout the last Singapore Trip when I was only 7 years old. I can only remember sausages and ah ku's condo. Thats all. Ah Leong's memories super powerful. He can literally remember everything from what we see in zoo, what road, which mall at such young age. Ah wai the quite epic fail one that always auto release everything though he is the eldest - -'

A TWG macaroon in Singapore costs about 2 Sg dollar

Hyper full when we ate 4Fingers Chicken Wings and we actually ordered another round after finishing the first serving. Crispyyyyy! Best of all, there's student rate! I can use my UTAR ID :D saved 6 singapore dollar. weeeheee

Ah wai went to Awfully Chocolate to get some freaking chocolate-ish food. The guy promoter that I will never forget. Such funny and friendly promoter who speaks Good English. Foong and Wai were having lotsa fun testing the chocolate food where I don't find them tempting especially I was really full. The nice promoter was like asking us to try so oh well, I should give him face. haha. The cake was CHOCOLATE-ish, the chocolate tart was wayyyy Omg, I cant feel anything else but chocolate. They liked the tarts, I preferred the cake more. > < Then, both of them wanted to try the chocolate crumple which was not suppose to be sampling items. The nice dude quickly ran in and started cutting for us to try.

Foong: Why so big piece??? *Wai and I having the same OS cause it was really freaking big!*
Promoter: SHhhhhhhhh *stare left and right and felt funny cause he was like doing us a favor and yet we were still questioning him* Im letting you try better and you asking me why. HAHA
Three of us kept laughing the whole time talking to him LOL

He promotes in such a way that you don't feel burden at all. Thumbs up! Something to be learnt.

Fancy Cute Trolley Bear Bear spotted outside of Plaza Singapore

Orchard Road :D

The Orchard Road lightning that papa wants to see since Ye Ye used to bring them to Singapore every year last time. And now is papa's turn to bring us to Singapore.

Walk walk walk and foong went crazy looking at those shops especially cotton on and H&M. The particular H&M that we saw in Orchard Road was Big! Papa and mummy thought we were lost cause we spent so long inside and didnt come out but we didnt buy anything hahaha. Ended up Ah Leong came to find both of us and he was being really lame saying as if he caught us as hostages and held on our shoulders- -' LOLOL

Had our dinner at Food Republic.
Ah leong's fried rice was good
Ate the chicken wings that chien recommended
Shared a bowl of pork rib knife noodles I suppose with mummy

Us after a whole day of walking

On Day 3, we had another heavy breakfast. That one meal can equivalent to my usual one day meal
A word- FULL

Unfortunately, we didnt have much time to head to other places and forced to abandon the free water theme park admission given by NTUC Resort.

"Ah Boy to Men'' on road!

Leaving Singapore with the ready-to-eat sausages that I last tried 13 years ago and full stomach.

Looking forward for my next Singapore trip.

A country that's similar yet it gives a different feeling from Malaysia.
A clearer environment (I cant spot any rubbish along the street)
Food stalls and shops operated by locals unlike Malaysia, many operated by foreigners which has very much to do with government policy.
Feel more secure.
You can feel the difference from the people there too.

Gotta be there to experience. Pleasant trip with the Lums.

Opposite The Famous Penang Cendol Stall

It was a hot day, a huge crowd of people were queuing up for the famous Penang Lane Cendol. I don't quite fancy cendol so I decided to stand someone with shade while waiting for my family to get their orders. Opposite of the famous cendol stall, there is this similiar cendol stall that sells exactly the same stuffs but with not many people there.

An old uncle was sitting on a chair at the not-so-famous cendol stall which is right opposite the famous stall. That old uncle is about 70-80+ holding two tongkak who cant really stand still and walk in normal speed just wanted to sit down for awhile. I guess his family members were waiting for their turn for the famous cendol.

There came this stupid brainless paranoid not-so-famous stall boss asked the uncle to move off in a super duper rude way.

'' Are you eating my cendol, uncle????''
'' My seats are meant for my customers.''
'' I gotta earn a living!''

Despite him being so rude asking him to not seat, the old uncle asked in a nice tone if he could sit down for a little while and he shoo-ed him awayyy...

Screw you seriouslyyy.. I was too stunned to voice out anything. Very sad to see you doing this to an old man. Even if it is not an old man! NOT LIKE your stall has any customers who needed those seats! No wonderrrr you have no businesss!!! The stupid fellow made me so freaking moodless.. I cant believe that idiot actually said those stuffs, at least please say nicely. It will not cost you to lose a million ringgit if the old uncle sat down for a while. You can be more heartless.

Seeing your face makes me puke. Sudahpun not many people wanna eat your cendol, lagi attitude terukkkk gilaaaaa.

Stupid People Everywhere, Sad.

Journey Before Singapore

Whole family went so we drove down to Singapore after 13 years! It has been so long and I was really excited to head back.

First Stop- Seremban for breakfast

  • Loh Shu Fun
  • Siew Bao, Tarts and Kaya Bao ( the shop was something Master, it was the same shop that chien brought me that day!)

Second Stop- Tangkak, Johor
Reached there in less than an hour, they went on eating again. Apparently it has one of the most famous beef noodle. The shop has this freaking strong beef smell that I dont quite like. Plus Not like my stomach can take in anymore food but definitely a delicacy for beef lovers. I can judge it from my dad and brothers' faces. LiHui and Jason were there too with their family! I always run into her when I'm out. LOL

Third Stop- Johor Premium Outlet
Crazy crowd! Everyone must be feeling rich. Thought I won't be able to grab anything, ended up found many cheap stuffs in Charles and Keith. My sister and I dont know how walk walk walk awhile and there went our 3 hours. There are actually quite a number of cheap stuffs though worth buying those brands there as compared to other places. Most of them are cheaper than usual.

We could not stay longer, gotta head to kastam to avoid heavy jam. The border from Malaysia to Singapore  is like near but we were stuck in the jam for like 2-3 hours to get through :( The moment we were in Singapore border line, you can feel the obvious difference between Malaysia and Singapore. First, you can spot it through the officers' working attitude. Our officers did not even bother checking our passports properly, the Singaporean officers purposely came out and see our faces one by one, best of all they talked in a super polite tone. The air feels different too. We only reached Singapore about 8pm :(( Cannot do much that night. It was like freaking rush cause we planned to meet up with Irene and her boyfriend for dinner. We were expected to reach at 7.30pm. They waited an hour and half for us thanks to the jam and we were all so nervous, couldn't find the right restaurant.

Reaching and seeing them there was like oh my finally! Damn paiseh. Ying Yi was there with them too. Oh my :(

Sungkai-Bidor-Kampar Part 2

 Day 2
First stop - UTAR Kampar
It wasn't my first time but touring around the compound properly was my first time. True that Kampar campus has such big differences with Sg Long, PJ or Setapak campuses, somehow I'm still not sad over the fact that Im not in Kampar campus. It doesnt quite matter to me. So Huge! Look nice but each blocks so far apart. Knowing everyone in Sg Long's one block campus has a certain level of difficulty. Sometimes too big isn't quite a good thing. Indeed a peaceful beautiful environment.

The ulu Sg Long people that gotten really excited to be in a lecture room

Libruuuuury

Next stop-Kampar Waterfall
Wasn't feeling good about heading there especially it rained a little on our way there. Moodless and worried. Glad that we went though after going there :))

Thanks to Elaine. Memories being captured!

Feasting on this before heading up!

Bridge moment was good when Honwai wasn't there with us. LOL

He posed for us :p

Ham-yu in the making?

Then our Kampar representative-Mr HW brought us around for food.
The stalls he intended to bring us werent open at the time so we went to his Po Po's house instead. Plan changed to Dragon's recommendation. The pizza spaghetti that I ate was something special.

Back to house for exchange gift and game session!
Our killer game was like quite a mess. LOL. too many people and the way HW played really bit different. I pun @@

Gifts!

Hahahahhaaha see this picture once, laugh once. Ah Men hahahahahha LOLOL

This is the little excitement face of tearing the wrapper. Some dudes don't quite get it.

Great Relaxing Trip for me with the bunch :)) Credit to KJ for sorting things out and our dedicated drivers:))))

Sungkai-Bidor-Kampar Part 1

Another GE sem-ly trip:D

Day 1
Day started off with Sungkai since we were all full so didn't manage to eat our Bidor Pork Leg. It was a crazy idea to be there around noon. The moment we stepped out of the cars, you knew we were out of mind. LOL Heading hot spring in such weather needs guts. Anyhow it wasn't that bad! There are a pool-alike water area, egg-cooking area and soaking legs areas.

A portion of the Sungkai Hot Spring

Where people gather to cook their eggies

Not great but heading in there with a bunch was good! Plus the water is not hot

Discussing who and what during our Eagle Chicks Catching Game Session

I gotta admit I was quite noob with this game. Didnt quite know exactly how to attack at the very beginning, running away from the so call Eagles was scary especially when you see Eagle Eugene and Eagle Dragon together :((((((((

The picture where YP and Ambiga ain't hyper stiff & love the smiles on their faces

Eating lunch in the evening. You know everyone was dead hungry when we were all snatching for food.

Reached KJ Aunty's House! Small but super cosy homely place with a super duper nice aunty that was always there to ensure we were alright. It was a pleasure to stay there and with a bunch of them.

Wasn't too sure whether we were too scary or this dog is very discipline. No random barking. <3

The legendary room that managed to have 9 dudes in it

We girls were resting in rooms since air cond is on. Suddenly, felt as if the dudes were busy here and there preparing for BBQ. Time to head out to help.Who said guys can't buat barang. We have Start Fire Team, Preparing Team, Tables and Chairs Set Up Team and randomly walking here and there to act busy Team. Thanks to Dragon, Honwai and Eugene for starting the fire!! If not we will be eating charcoal

Taaadaaa The dont know what brand crabstick was seriously a wrong buy :(

BBQ Time

The poor fellow that being labelled as labour surplus hahahaa

Wash hand also so pattern

After BBQ, we had a mini drinking session. Hanging outside was cooling and nice. Tried drinking a little so I wont be too noob. Thanks to some pro drinkers that explained to me what and what. hahaha
