Catland-Kuching

Day 1

A bowl of Sarawak Laksa once we reached. Opposite a temple.

On our way to Semenggoh

We are like dead hot there

At Semenggoh!

walking uphill

<3

Since we did not have much time, I asked the taxi uncle that fetched us to hotel to bring us to Semenggoh. On the way, the friendly taxi uncle introduced places around. The way I talked to him as if he is really my uncle.. I asked him about the cat statues around.. and why is it cat????

He told me that Kuching actually has alot of Gu Jing ( it means old well in mandarin). The fact that 'Gu Jing' sounds like cat in Malay so slowly it transformed into Catland. The another 2 taxi went back to Threehouse and our taxi uncle offered to stop by awhile for us to snap with the cats!

see the catty's face. haha

There are total of 3 different cat statues around. This was the so call nicest and biggest.

you will see this once you Enter Threehouse B&B. Nice cozy place to stay! Friendly Bindi there to serve you and make your day

Girls were separated into 2 rooms with airconds whereas the guys were staying in dorms of 6. This trip was more like chillax around so after the orang utan trip, we went back and rest for awhile. Honwai called Eugene to bring us around for dinner. Thank you Eugene for offering a ride. He has to like drive 3 round each since there were 11 of us :OO

Late night, we gathered at the open air area to chit chat. Nice feeling, all of us were doing nothing, just gathering for the sake of gathering. I was really tired, same goes with YP but you just not suppose to sleep that early during trip!! :D That Yi Kay rosakkan my mood! I was suppose to lie down and admire the stars, then he came in and disturb the peaceful admiring session.

Day 2

The day I anticipated the most! Bako and Damai Beach <3

Eugene did not make it for the earliest bus ride so Honwai Yi Kay and Yew Hor waited for him.

jetty to Bako NP

Bako!

After an hour, we gathered together. The boat ride policy at the jetty is frustrating. They charge it by boat to earn more and not by head. So many of the foreigners were finding people so we can share the boats. Managed to talk to some sweet British girls. Why must they make things so complicated? Lol. Anyhow we managed to take the boat ride close to 10am.

We decided to sit boat directly to infamous Teluk Pandan Kecil and hike back to HQ in one and half hours. According to the locals there, if we were to hide from HQ to Teluk Pandan Kecil, we need 2 hours. The boat ride was awesome!! Tough current made it abit more exciting for us to sit on. We were screaming and shouting as if we are on roller coaster!

The girls while waiting for Ambiga, Tristan and I registering at HQ

Some of them wore slippers there and I thought they knew it is not going to be that simple. Partly my bad... They did not expect to climb...

Some of the trails are quite slippery...Gonna pay extra attention. It was not extremely tough but the heat was killing us... Jing Kai, Ambiga, KJ, YH and I were like'' Coke! 100 plus! Ice!'' hahahhahaha. That motivates to move and wanting to finish it faster.

You can see this around HQ

Our Friendly Pak Cik that showed us around telling us about crocodiles and jelly fish

The bus ride from Bako to Kuching is RM3.50 for locals and RM 7 for foreigners. Most of them were sleeping in the bus. Overly exhausted. Ambiga, honwai, eugene and I were chatting through.. and I think I laughed abit too loud and woke some of them up. Sorry YH Sorry YK! hahahhaha I know you guys wont mind :DDD

Then, we went back for a bath, Eugene and Honwai went to pick up the car we rented in airport. Thanks guys! We have like extra time to rest awhile... Eugene was like constantly finding and smsing or what to help us to search places and all.

Next stop, Damai Beach for Sunset!

Damai, Santubong
